Portfolio trust and publishing

Understand public portfolios, approval and creative rights

A portfolio is evidence to evaluate, not a guarantee of suitability. Foto-C separates approved public professional work from its assisted creation tools so clients can discuss the right approach for each project.

Quick answer

Foto-C public listings require an active, verified account, marketplace approval and the professional’s public-portfolio and rights confirmations. These checks do not guarantee skill, availability, insurance or project outcomes. Review relevant work, ask questions and agree on your requirements before hiring. Work-eligibility status is a separate indication.

What approval means

Public listing requires account and portfolio conditions in Foto-C. It is not an independent certification of every claim, qualification or image.

Control over publication

Professionals choose whether eligible approved portfolios are public. A change can take a short time to propagate through caches; search engines control when their own results refresh.

Rights and honest attribution

Public previews may carry watermarks. No public website can guarantee images cannot be copied or scraped. Confirm ownership, permissions and any AI involvement with the professional.

A practical path

  1. 1Review relevant work and ask how it was produced.
  2. 2Confirm who will deliver the work, their availability and required permissions.
  3. 3Agree on the brief, permitted uses, delivery and revisions in writing.

Common questions

Does approved mean certified or guaranteed?

No. Approval concerns Foto-C listing conditions. Clients should still assess qualifications, suitability, availability, insurance and project terms.

Can public photos be made impossible to copy?

No. Watermarks and access controls can discourage misuse, but public images can still be copied. Avoid publishing confidential work and keep evidence of your rights.

Is AI-created promotional imagery a real client portfolio?

No. Illustrative promotional imagery should not be presented as commissioned client work or as a professional’s portfolio. Ask about the production method when evaluating work.
